KING Results and Wrap-Up: Senior Sectionals

30 KING swimmers raced at the Speedo NW Senior Sectional Championships this past weekend at KCAC. Over 75 teams attended, with more than 700 swimmers competing. Senior Sectionals is a prestigious meet held every Short Course and Long Course season that features the fastest swimmers from Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona. It is the first step of the USA Swimming Championship meet series that includes the Futures Championships, Winter and Summer Jr. Nationals, and culminates with US Senior Nationals/US Open and Olympic Trials. Congratulations to all swimmers who competed!
Meet Highlights
Team Scores
Out of over 75 competing teams from several states and LSC’s, KING placed 6th Overall in combined team scores. The KING Women placed 5th overall in Women’s combined scores, and the Men placed 8th overall in Men’s combined team scores.
Event Champions
Camden Doane placed first overall in two events at the meet- Women’s 200 Butterfly, Women’s 400 IM. Aiden Hammer placed first overall in the Men’s 1000 Freestyle.
PNS Records
KING swimmers posted three separate Pacific Northwest Swimming records. This means they swam the fastest times in the history of PNS in their classifications. The following PNS records were broken this weekend by KING swimmers:
