KING Results & Wrap-Up: PAC "Q" Meet

KING brought nearly 70 swimmers to KCAC this past Sunday (11/13) to compete in the “Q” Meet. This was a highly successful meet for KING both from a competition perspective, as well as a great cohesive team event as our younger swimmers had an opportunity to compete during the same session as our Senior Swimmers. Congratulations to all athletes who participated! KING’s dominating performance at this meet was a true collective team effort.

KING Meet Highlights

  • KING had four swimmers pick-up their first Champs cuts of the season! Preita Sanders qualified for 14&U Champs in the Girls 11-12 50 Freestyle; Ellie Field qualified for 14&U Champs in the Girls 11-12 200 Breaststroke, Derek Sletten qualified for 14&U Champs in the Boys 13-14 200 Breaststroke, and Corrina Carras qualified for Senior Champs in the Women’s 400 IM. Congratulations swimmers! 14&U Champs is the highest level of Age Group swimming exclusive to swimmers in Pacific Northwest Swimming, while Senior Champs is the highest level of Senior swimming exclusive to swimmers who are residents of Washington State.
  • The largest time drop of the meet belonged to James Hanna in his 100 Backstroke dropping over 21 seconds and clocking in at 1:40.93! This result was over a 17% improvement from his previous best time.
  • KING had 9 swimmer place 1st overall in one or more events:
