USA Swimming Meet Official Clinics
Did you know, every meet requires a certain number of certified meet officials in order for your swimmer's times to be valid?
King Aquatic Club (KING) is always in need of new meet officials. It is an LSC recommendation that a team have approximately one (1) certified meet official for every 10 swimmers on the team. If you have been a meet official for your summer league team, you may be a natural. Individuals interested must complete a USA Swimming training clinic to become an meet official. A background check is also required. No prior experience is necessary. The PNS instructor and other PNS officials will provide you with the training you need.
It takes many volunteers to run a meet. KING, Pacific Northwest Swimming (PNS), and most importantly our swimmers need your help. Please consider giving a gift to your child and the thousands of other PNS athletes by becoming a meet official. It is a great way to satisfy your KING Work Share Hours requirement as well as learn the sport....the comraderie and hospitality are just bonus.
